Aparthotels & serviced apartments in Bengaluru

26 stays · 24 aparthotels and 2 serviced apartments · from €26/night

Bengaluru is a large, spread-out city, and aparthotels and serviced apartments suit the way many people use it. It is regarded as the Silicon Valley of India and the country's largest hub and exporter of IT services, according to Wikipedia, so a lot of visits are work trips lasting weeks rather than nights. A kitchen, a desk and a separate living area make that much easier than a standard room, and families or colleagues travelling together get more space. Our guide explains what an aparthotel is.

MG Road and the centre

  • sightseeing
  • transport links

Wikivoyage divides the city into Central zones, west and east, and MG Road lies in this central core. Wikivoyage places Majestic in West Central Bengaluru, and Wikipedia describes Cubbon Park as a large park of 120 ha in the heart of the city, so this is a base for visitors who plan to explore the centre and use the metro.

Jayanagar

  • families
  • long stays

Wikivoyage places Jayanagar in the south of the city, together with Electronic City. It suits travellers who prefer a neighbourhood setting to a business district, and Wikivoyage lists Jayanagar among the residential areas with traditional markets. Wikipedia says the Lal Bagh garden was established around 1760.

HSR Layout

  • business travel
  • long stays
  • quiet stays

HSR Layout lies in the south-east of the city, towards the southern IT areas, and is a good option for visitors working in that part of the city. Because of the traffic Wikivoyage describes, it makes sense to stay close to where you will spend most of the day.

  • business travel
  • IT campuses
  • long stays

Whitefield is one of the east Bengaluru suburbs listed by Wikivoyage. The Purple Line of Namma Metro runs out to Whitefield (Kadugodi) in the north-east, according to Wikipedia, so it is a practical base for anyone working in the east of the city.

Getting around Bengaluru

Kempegowda International Airport is about 35 km north of the city, near Devanahalli, according to Wikipedia, while Wikivoyage gives about 40 km from central Bengaluru. Wikipedia lists the Vayu Vajra bus service run by BMTC, which it says connects the airport to hubs including Majestic, Electronic City, Whitefield, Indiranagar and MG Road and runs 24 hours, along with taxi zones for Ola and Uber outside both terminals and a train halt linked to the terminal by shuttle bus. Wikivoyage says Vayu Vajra services connect the airport to the Majestic bus stand. Wikipedia describes the Namma Metro Blue Line to the airport as under construction, with phased openings expected between June and December 2026, so check its current status.

Namma Metro is operated by BMRCL. Wikipedia lists three operating lines: the Purple Line from Challaghatta to Whitefield (Kadugodi), the Green Line from Silk Institute to Madavara and the Yellow Line from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra. Majestic station (Nadaprabhu Kempegowda) is the main interchange, and services run daily between 05:00 and 00:00 according to Wikipedia. Wikivoyage also says BMTC buses cover the city, auto-rickshaws and app-based taxis are available, and traffic in Bengaluru is generally bad, so allow generous journey times.

Living in Bengaluru for longer

English is widely spoken by white-collar workers and is the principal business language, according to Wikipedia, while Kannada is the mother tongue of 42.1 per cent of residents, followed by Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. That mix makes day-to-day life easy for international visitors.

The city is known as India's Garden City for its parks, including Lal Bagh and Cubbon Park, which are useful for exercise on longer stays. Because commutes can be long, many people choose a district close to their office and use the metro when it covers the route. Wikivoyage notes that metro and bus schedules are integrated into Google Maps, which helps with planning. For moves of several weeks, see our serviced apartments for relocation guide.

When to visit Bengaluru

Wikipedia describes a tropical savanna climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. April is the hottest month, with an average high of 34.1 C, and the monsoon from June to September brings substantial rainfall, with September the wettest month.

Wikivoyage describes mild weather year-round, with summer temperatures that can reach 35 C and early-morning winter temperatures around 15 C, and gives June to October as the heavy-rain period. That makes the cooler months outside the monsoon the most comfortable for sightseeing and for travelling around the city.

The city had 8,443,675 residents at the 2011 census, making it the third most populous in India, and Wikivoyage puts the figure at nearly 13 million in 2025. Because distances are long and traffic is heavy, choosing the right district matters more here than in most cities. This page covers the main areas, how to get in from the airport and around by metro and bus, practical tips for long stays and the weather through the year.
