Whistler Village is the main base area at the foot of the Village Gondola. It was designed around a pedestrian Main Street Village Stroll and an elevated covered walkway system, with vehicles kept to the outside of the developed area, and it has shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. The Village Shuttles, routes 4 and 5, run at no charge.

It is separate from the gondola bases, so it suits longer stays where you will use the bus or Valley Trail to reach the lifts.
Vancouver International Airport is the main gateway, about 2 to 2.5 hours away by road on the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99), according to Wikivoyage. Coach operators including Epic Rides and YVR Skylynx run the route, and Wikivoyage also lists the Whistler Shuttle.
