Aparthotels and serviced apartments are a practical choice in Lekki, the peninsula on the eastern side of Lagos, where visitors often come for business, for longer assignments or to visit family. A kitchen and separate living space help on stays of a week or more, and many visitors want somewhere that works as a base for both meetings and downtime. Wikipedia describes Lekki as a city in Lagos State on a naturally formed peninsula, adjoining Victoria Island and Ikoyi to the west, with the Atlantic Ocean to the south and Lagos Lagoon to the north. For the wider city, see Lagos.

Wikipedia singles out Lekki Phase 1 as a district with a reputation for some of the most expensive real estate in Lagos State. On the map it lies on the western side of the peninsula, towards Victoria Island, where Wikivoyage suggests visitors try to stay because many of the tourist attractions are there. It suits visitors who want to be near the island business districts.

Wikipedia describes Victoria Island and Ikoyi as affluent districts with bank headquarters and international companies, and Wikivoyage suggests visitors try to stay on Victoria Island because many of the tourist attractions are there. It adjoins the western end of the Lekki peninsula. The Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, completed in 2013, is a landmark on this side of the lagoon.
Ikate lies along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, the federal highway that Wikipedia lists among the roads running east from Lagos. On the map it sits between Lekki Phase 1 and Chevron. It works as a middle option for visitors who want some distance from Victoria Island.

Wikipedia lists Chevron among Lekki's notable neighbourhoods. Wikivoyage places the Lekki Conservation Centre along the Lagos-Epe Expressway near Chevron Estate, and says visitors can take a taxi to the Chevron bus stop and walk the rest. The centre makes this a practical base for a nature outing.
Ikota is named in Wikipedia's list of Lekki neighbourhoods, alongside Ajah and Victoria Garden City. On the map it lies east of Chevron and Ikate. Check how you will reach Victoria Island and the airport before booking here, as journey times across Lagos vary with traffic.

Ajah is one of the neighbourhoods Wikipedia names on the Lekki peninsula, and it is the easternmost of the areas listed here. Wikipedia places the Lekki Free Trade Zone and says the Lekki deep-sea port began operating at the beginning of 2023 and the Dangote refinery in December 2023. Check the distance to your destination before booking, as the peninsula is long.
The main airport for Lagos is Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, with the codes LOS and DNMM. Wikipedia says it has an international and a domestic terminal about one kilometre apart, and a second international terminal commissioned in March 2022. Wikipedia also mentions a proposed Lekki-Epe International Airport as a possible secondary airport for Lagos, described as still in planning, so do not assume flights there.
Wikivoyage lists Lagos transport as Bus Rapid Transit with dedicated lanes, the Blue Line rail, yellow minibuses called danfo, ride-hailing apps such as Uber, and ferries across the lagoon. LAMATA, the state transport authority, describes the Blue Line as a 27 km line between Okokomaiko and Marina, and the Red Line between Agbado and Marina as proposed. Neither of those is described as running on the Lekki peninsula, so a car, ride-hailing or BRT service is how most Lekki journeys will start. Wikipedia names the Third Mainland Bridge as one of the links between the island and the mainland.
For a longer stay, pick a neighbourhood based on where you will spend most days, then work out the route to it. Wikipedia describes Lekki as spread over a peninsula 70 to 80 km long, so a stay in Ajah and a meeting in Victoria Island are very different journeys. Ask your accommodation about the usual routes at the times you will travel.
For time off, the Lekki Conservation Centre was founded in 1990 and is managed by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, according to Wikipedia. It covers 78 hectares and has a 1.8 km nature trail with wooden boardwalks and a canopy walkway that Wikivoyage gives as 401 m long. Wikivoyage suggests light, long-sleeved clothing against mosquitoes, and appropriate footwear in the rainy season.
Wikipedia describes a tropical savanna climate for Lagos, with a wet season from May to October. June is the wettest month, with 316 mm of precipitation, and January is the driest. Mean high temperatures range from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius through the year.
For outdoor visits such as the Lekki Conservation Centre, Wikivoyage names the dry season from October to March as the best time. Wikivoyage's article on Lagos gives annual rainfall of about 1,783 mm. It is worth carrying rain protection for the wetter months and planning travel with extra time.
Wikipedia gives the peninsula an area of 755 square kilometres, roughly 70 to 80 km long and 10 km wide on average, so the place you choose matters.
