Aparthotels and serviced apartments in Courbevoie suit business trips and longer stays near Paris, because a kitchen and a separate living area make a working week easier than a single hotel room. Courbevoie is a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department, on the western edge of the Paris region, and part of the La Défense business district lies within its southern end. For a short introduction to the format, see what is an aparthotel.

Wikipedia says La Défense is a major business district at the western end of the Paris historic axis, and that it spreads over the southern part of Courbevoie as well as parts of Puteaux, Nanterre and La Garenne-Colombes. Its official site says 85% of the hotel offer is mid-range or high-end, and that it is possible to stay in an aparthotel. Wikivoyage warns that some hotels are a long walk across the Esplanade from the station, so check the route from the entrance to your door.

The town centre is built around the Hôtel de Ville, which Wikipedia says was completed in 1858. Wikivoyage lists the wooden Pavillon des Indes, moved from Paris to Courbevoie after the Universal Exhibition of 1878, as a curiosity among the more modern architecture; its coordinates put it about a kilometre north-east of the Hôtel de Ville. It is a calmer base than the towers, with the district's offices a short ride away.

Wikipedia says Courbevoie is served by two stations on the Transilien Paris-Saint-Lazare network, Courbevoie and Bécon-les-Bruyères. The Courbevoie station area works for visitors who want a direct suburban train into Paris and a quieter street scene than the business district. Check the walking distance from your apartment to the platform before you book.

Bécon-les-Bruyères is the second Courbevoie station on the Transilien Paris-Saint-Lazare network, according to Wikipedia. It lies away from the La Défense towers, so it suits visitors who prefer a residential neighbourhood and are happy to use the train for most journeys.
La Défense is the transport hub for the area. Wikipedia lists six rail lines serving it: RER A, RER E, Metro Line 1, Transilien lines L and U, and Tramway T2. The official La Défense site says the district has no fewer than six railway lines plus many bus lines, and Wikipedia adds that Courbevoie is also served by Esplanade de La Défense station on Metro Line 1. Wikivoyage puts the Line 1 journey from the Grande Arche to central Paris at about 15 minutes.
Wikipedia says Courbevoie can be served by Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly to the south and Beauvais airport to the north, but Wikivoyage cautions that La Défense is neither close to nor well connected with either of the main Paris airports, so plan the transfer in advance. The official site says the district has 23,000 car parking spaces under the slab, secure bicycle parking with 600 arches and 2,000 spaces, and cycle paths both on and under the slab. Wikivoyage advises against driving to a hotel in the centre of La Défense unless you know its underground road system, and suggests the Metro, RER or tram instead.
For a longer stay, La Défense has most of what you need within a short walk of the station. Wikipedia says Les Quatre Temps is the most visited shopping centre in France, with 220 stores and 48 restaurants, and Wikivoyage says it includes a large supermarket and grocery store. The official site counts over 200 restaurants across the district, including food trucks, and lists places to work and study on its Activities pages.
If you want a break from the towers, the official site says Paris La Défense has 37 hectares of green space, 11 parks, three shared gardens and nearly 4,000 trees. Wikivoyage describes Parc André Malraux in Nanterre as an expansive park around a lake behind the Tours Aillaud. Away from the business district, the residential streets around Courbevoie station and Bécon-les-Bruyères suit a slower routine, with Transilien services on the Paris-Saint-Lazare network. See serviced apartments for business travel for ideas on planning a working stay.
Wikipedia describes the Paris climate as oceanic, with cool winters and warm summers, and average temperatures between 15 and 25 °C in July. Spring and autumn are mild by day and cool at night but unstable, and light rain is spread evenly across the year, with an annual average of 641 mm. In winter sunshine is scarce and nights are cold but generally above freezing.
La Défense runs events through the year. Its official tourism page mentions the La Défense Jazz Festival, the Garden Parvis programme and the traditional Christmas market, and shows at the Plenitude Arena. Wikivoyage adds that the rugby club Racing 92 plays its Top 14 matches there. Check the official events page for the dates in the year you travel, as programmes change.
Wikipedia describes Courbevoie as a suburb of Paris, 8.2 km from the centre of Paris, with its own centre 2 km from the city limits. That puts it close enough to reach the capital by rail in a short journey, while keeping the feel of an ordinary residential town away from the towers. If your plans are mostly in the capital itself, compare it with the options on the Paris page, and see the wider France hub for other bases.
