Taguig is a city in south-eastern Metro Manila with about 1.3 million residents, and it contains Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the planned financial district built on former military land at Fort Bonifacio. Aparthotels and serviced apartments in Taguig suit business travellers and relocating professionals, since many of the offices, residential towers and shopping centres are close together, and a kitchen and separate living space make a stay of a few weeks more comfortable than a single room.

BGC is a 240-hectare mixed-use estate and business district with a grid layout, pedestrian-friendly walkways and parks including Track 30th. It is home to the Philippine Stock Exchange and shopping centres such as Bonifacio High Street, Uptown Mall and Market! Market!, and The Mind Museum is in J. Y. Campos Park here.

McKinley Hill is a district south of BGC, described by Wikivoyage as upscale and residential, with the Venice Grand Canal Mall. The BGC Bus network connects the wider area, including to Makati.

Market! Market! is a mall in Taguig and a terminal for the BGC Bus, which also uses a terminal at EDSA Ayala in Makati. It is a practical base for travellers who plan to use the bus to reach Makati's offices and the MRT-3.

The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial is in Fort Bonifacio and holds 17,206 graves, the largest number of any cemetery for US personnel killed in the Second World War. It was founded in 1948, is run by the American Battle Monuments Commission, and has mosaic maps of the Pacific theatre in its memorial.

Arca South is a business district in Western Bicutan, in the south of the city. BGC Bus has a route linking BGC with Arca South, so you can still reach the main central district.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport lies in Pasay and Parañaque, about 7 km south of Manila proper and south-west of Makati. Wikivoyage suggests a taxi or a ride-hailing app such as Grab from the airport to Taguig. BGC has indirect MRT-3 connections via Guadalupe, Buendia and Ayala stations.
Within BGC, the BGC Bus is the main bus service. It is run by Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation, an Ayala subsidiary, and operates about eight routes that link BGC with Makati, Arca South and the Gil Puyat LRT station in Pasay, with payment by Beep card or GCash. Wikivoyage describes walking in BGC as easy thanks to wide walkways and plenty of shelter, while outside BGC jeepneys and tricycles serve the main roads.
For longer stays, BGC has the most services in one place: the estate lists shop, dine, stay and play categories on its official site, and it has parks such as Track 30th with a jogging path.
Our guide to serviced apartments for relocation explains how corporate stays work, and business travel with serviced apartments covers the questions to ask about desks, laundry and check-in.
Taguig has a tropical monsoon climate. Wikipedia describes a dry season from November to April and a wet season from May to October, so travel plans between May and October should allow for rain.
The Mind Museum, an interactive science museum with exhibits grouped under Atom, Life, Earth, Universe and Technology, is one indoor option for a wet day, alongside BGC's shopping centres.
Taguig borders Makati, Pasay, Parañaque, Pasig and other Metro Manila cities, so it is easy to compare bases; see our Makati, Manila and Pasay guides, or the wider Philippines overview.
