67 stays · 36 aparthotels and 31 serviced apartments
Rimini's 15 km of sandy beach and its packed summer calendar make aparthotels and serviced apartments an easy choice. Families settling in for a week by the sea get room to spread out and a kitchen for children's meals, while trade-fair visitors and those attending the August Meeting appreciate a base that works for longer, busier stays than a single hotel room allows.

The historic centre holds the Arch of Augustus, the Tempio Malatestiano and the Fellini Museum, which traces the director's life and work. Across the Tiberius Bridge, Borgo San Giuliano is the old fishermen's quarter. It is a good base for food, history and the railway station, with the beach a walk or short bus ride away.
Marina Centro is the seafront closest to the old town, at the northern end of the main beach strip near the railway station. The beaches here are divided into numbered, managed sections with rented sunbeds.

North of the centre, Viserba and Torre Pedrera are the northernmost of Rimini's seaside districts, at the far end of the long sandy shore from Miramare. They suit families who want a beach base away from Marina Centro, and they lie on the same side of town as the Fiera exhibition centre.

South of Marina Centro, Bellariva, Marebello and Rivazzurra follow one another along the seafront. They are served by Metromare stops, which makes reaching the station or Riccione easy without a car, and the Fiabilandia amusement park is close by.

Miramare is the southernmost of Rimini's beach districts, beside Federico Fellini Airport and next to Riccione. Metromare stops nearby make quick trips into town or to Riccione easy, and it is the obvious choice for early flights.
Stays in or near Miramare
Federico Fellini International Airport is about 7 km south-east of the centre, served by Start Romagna bus line 9 and by a stop on Metromare. Rimini railway station sits next to the old town and the bus station, at the north end of the main beach strip.
Metromare is a zero-emissions trolleybus rapid transit line running 9.8 km on its own track between Rimini and Riccione stations, with 17 stops along the coastal districts. It runs every 15 minutes in winter and every 10 minutes from June to September. A northern extension towards the Fiera exhibition centre is planned, with completion expected around 2028. Start Romagna runs the other local buses.
Out of season Rimini is a sizeable city of around 150,000 residents rather than just a resort. Choosing a base near a Metromare stop gives easy access to both railway stations, the coast and Riccione. Staying in or near the historic centre also puts the railway and bus stations within walking distance for day trips.
If you are staying for work or the trade fairs, our guide on aparthotels versus hotels explains what to expect. Neighbouring resorts such as Cattolica are an easy day out along the same coast.
Rimini has a humid subtropical climate with mild winters for the region and more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year. Summer is beach season, when the managed beach establishments along the whole shore are in full swing and Metromare runs at its highest frequency.
La Notte Rosa, the Romagna Riviera's summer festival of concerts and fireworks, took place on 19–21 June in 2026. The Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples fills the Fiera di Rimini in late August, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors, so book early for those weeks.
Behind the seafront is a Roman and Renaissance city: the Arch of Augustus, the oldest preserved arch in Italy, the Tiberius Bridge at the start of the Via Aemilia, and the Tempio Malatestiano. Most visitors divide their time between the old centre and the beach districts that run from Torre Pedrera in the north to Miramare in the south. For more of the coast, see Riccione next door.
