Aparthotels and serviced apartments give visitors to Garda a kitchen and separate living space, in a town that Wikivoyage says is small enough for walking. Wikipedia describes Garda as a town on the shore of Lake Garda, in the province of Verona in Veneto, 32 km from Verona and one of the smallest towns in the province. Wikivoyage calls it a small old town.

Wikipedia says the historical centre, with its narrow streets, is still intact. Wikivoyage lists the Palazzo dei Capitani on Piazza Catullo, Palazzo Fregoso and the clock tower gate among the sights, and describes the town as small enough for walking.
Stays in or near Old town and Piazza Catullo
Wikivoyage lists Villa Albertini on Lungolago Regina Adelaide as one of the splendid villas on the lake, with a lavish garden. Wikipedia dates the villa to the 16th century and mentions its magnolia trees.
Stays in or near Lakefront and Villa Albertini
Wikipedia describes San Vigilio as a village whose name comes from Saint Vigilius, with a 16th-century villa within a small park designed by Michele Sammicheli. It lies to the west of the old town.
Wikipedia says the Rocca is a castle standing 300 m over the town with views across the whole lake, on the same site as a 15th-century Carmelite monastery. It is a hillside area above the town rather than on the water.
Stays in or near Rocca di Garda
Visit Garda says the closest airports to the lake are Verona-Villafranca, at about 15 km, and Brescia-Montichiari, at about 30 km, both in the southern part of the lake and linked to the railway stations of Verona and Brescia by an aerobus service. Bergamo-Orio al Serio is about 80 km from the lake, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa and Venice about 100 km, and Bologna about 150 km. These distances are given for Lake Garda rather than Garda town.
Wikivoyage lists bus services from Verona and from Verona airport, and warns to expect heavy traffic throughout the summer. In the town itself, walking is enough, and Wikivoyage suggests a bike for the surroundings. The tourist information office, IAT Garda, is listed on Piazza Donatori di Sangue.
Garda is one of the smallest towns in the province of Verona, so for a longer stay the old town and lakefront cover day-to-day walking, and Wikivoyage points to bikes for the surroundings. Verona is 32 km away by Wikipedia's count, and Visit Garda says an aerobus links Verona-Villafranca airport with Verona railway station. For other lakeside bases with different amenities, compare Lazise and Desenzano del Garda.
Visit Garda describes a sub-Mediterranean climate around the lake, which it calls a prealpine xerothermic oasis. Its table gives air temperatures of 24 to 32 °C from June to August and 5 to 15 °C from December to February, with lake water at 17 to 27 °C in the summer months.
The same source describes two main winds: the Pelèr, blowing north to south in the morning, and the Ora, blowing from the south in the afternoon until evening. Wikipedia gives the town's patron saint day as the Assumption in August.
For other bases on the lake, see Lazise, Manerba del Garda, Bardolino and Desenzano del Garda, or the Italy page. Aparthotels versus hotels sets out the differences between the formats.
Of the 7 properties here, 1 offer an in-apartment washing machine, 4 include some form of housekeeping and 2 have a 24-hour front desk. Each property page has a facts box, so you can compare apartments before you book.
4 properties list a full kitchen and 3 only a kitchenette, so check the room type if you plan to cook more than simple meals.
Where room sizes are published, the median apartment here is 50 m².
