10 stays · 5 aparthotels and 5 serviced apartments
Santa Teresa Gallura sits at the northern tip of Sardinia, and from its beaches you can see the French island of Corsica across the Strait of Bonifacio. Aparthotels and serviced apartments suit a stay here because most visitors come for beach holidays of a week or more, often as families or groups, and a kitchen, living space and separate bedrooms make it easier to manage meals and beach gear than a single room.

The town centre is organised around Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. Wikipedia says the square holds tourist shops and restaurants, many of which close seasonally. Rena Bianca, the main bathing area at the northern end of town per Wikivoyage, is a cove 700 metres long with soft white sand according to the official Sardinia tourism site, which mentions a 300-metre descent and a set of stairs to reach it, and lists parking, restaurants and equipment rental.

Capo Testa is a peninsula west of the town with large granite formations, Roman quarries on the eastern bay and a nineteenth-century lighthouse at Cala Spinosa. A local tourism site lists scrambling, diving and snorkelling there, and Wikivoyage says it can be reached by a summer bus service.
Valle dell'Erica is one of the tourist resorts along the east-side coast, according to a local tourism site. Wikivoyage notes that the emptier beaches are mostly reached by private transport, so plan on a car to move between it and the main town.
Porto Pozzo is a fishing village with mussel farming, which the local tourism site places 12 km from Santa Teresa. It suits visitors who prefer a quieter, more rural stay and who have their own transport.

Santa Teresa Gallura is a small town, and Wikipedia notes that its population grows greatly in summer. Out of season, many places that serve visitors close, so check opening dates before planning a stay outside the summer months. For groceries, Wikivoyage points to the supermarket on Via Nazionale as having normal prices, whereas most other places in town are high.
Self-catering is the obvious advantage of an apartment-style stay here. See what is included in a serviced apartment for what to check about linen, cleaning and kitchen equipment.
Check a national forecast service for your dates. The sources describe a strongly seasonal place: the population swells in summer, and visitor shops and restaurants on the main square close for part of the year.
Sightseeing in town includes the sixteenth-century Torre di Longonsardo and the prehistoric remains at Lu Brandali, both mentioned by Wikivoyage, which makes the town useful for a stay built around the coast, short walks and day trips.
Wikipedia gives the town a permanent population of 5,144 that swells significantly in summer, and Wikivoyage calls it an important transit point for ferries to Corsica. Beyond the town itself, the coast to east and west has coves, granite headlands and small resort areas, so a base here works well with a car. For wider planning see Italy, and for another Sardinian coastal base try Alghero. If the format is new to you, what is an aparthotel explains it.
