Kemer is a seaside resort on the Turkish Riviera, and its mix of resort hotels, marina and mountain scenery makes aparthotels and serviced apartments a practical way to stay. Many visitors arrive on all-inclusive packages, but an apartment-style base with its own kitchen suits families who want to eat on their own schedule, groups travelling together, and the walkers and mountain bikers who now come for the Lycian Way and the hills.

The town centre is organised around the clock tower, where all local buses stop, with a hotel quarter and the main beach to the east. The 320-berth marina has restaurants, and Moonlight Beach lies just east of it. Several of the town's night clubs cluster at the north end of the beach, so check how close a property is if you want quiet evenings.

Beldibi is the northernmost village of the tourist strip, the nearest to Antalya. It is known for the Beldibi cave with its rock paintings, and the Çamdağ Tunnel through the headland leads to a secluded shingle beach. Bus TA07 from Antalya bus station serves it.
Göynük sits between Beldibi and Kemer town and is best known for its canyon, a flooded gorge you can visit by boat or by swimming. It also has a small theme park for younger children on the main highway.
South of Kemer town, Çamyuva lies south of Çalıştepe hill and has a long shingle beach, with Kiriş at its northern end. Bus 1 from the marina goes to Kiriş beach, and bus TA08 from Antalya continues through Çamyuva. A water park sits midway along the beach strip.

Tekirova is the southern end of the strip, with a wooden pier that reaches out into the sea. The ruins of Phaselis are nearby on the TA08 bus route, and the lane to the Olympos cable car branches off the D400 close to Phaselis. Bus TA08 from Antalya bus station is the route down the coast to it.

Inland from Kemer, Arslanbucak and Kuzdere are residential districts rather than beach areas. Both have their own routes from the marina, bus 5 and bus 4 respectively.

Kemer has no airport of its own. Antalya Airport is the usual arrival point, and the Wikivoyage guide notes that the coastal highway puts Kemer within an hour of it. The Türkiye tourism agency gives the Antalya to Kemer transfer as roughly 45 to 60 minutes by dolmuş (shared minibus), taxi or hire car. There is no direct municipal bus from the airport: Wikivoyage describes taking a bus or tram to Antalya bus station and changing there.
From Antalya bus station, bus TA07 runs every 15 minutes to Beldibi, Göynük and Kemer, and TA08 every 30 minutes to Kemer, Çamyuva, Phaselis and Tekirova, according to Wikivoyage. Within town, the main buses start at the marina, and yellow taxis are common. Kemer's own bus station is about 1 km west of the centre, and coaches arrive from almost every city in Turkey.
Tourism is the mainstay of the local economy, and daily needs are easy to meet. Wikivoyage lists convenience stores open daily around the clock tower, including Oscar, Şok, A101, Migros and Carrefour, which makes self-catering straightforward from an apartment. The marina is also a wintering-over base for liveaboard sailors, although the clubs by the beach close for the winter.
If you plan to work remotely or stay several weeks, choose between the centre, for walking to shops, and a village along the strip, where you will rely on buses and taxis. For a wider look at moving for work, see our relocation guide, or read aparthotel vs hotel to compare room types.
Kemer has a hot Mediterranean climate: very hot, long, dry summers, and cool, rainy winters, with temperatures often above 40 °C at the height of summer. The Türkiye tourism agency describes the weather as generally sunny and dry from May to October, with peak-summer highs in the mid-30s °C, and recommends spring and autumn for walking and day trips. The sea stays warm into autumn.
Outdoor activities run for much of the year. The Lycian Way, a 540 km waymarked trail from Fethiye to Geyikbayırı, passes through the area, and the Olympos cable car rises to the 2,365 m summit of Mount Tahtalı in about 10 minutes. Spring visitors may spot the rare Kemer orchid in the forests near Göynük, and sea turtles come ashore to nest at Çıralı beach in summer.
The district covers 412 square kilometres and had 49,383 residents in 2022, with the western Taurus Mountains behind 53 km of sea coast. Until the early 1980s it was a quiet rural area; a road, then state-planned infrastructure funded by the World Bank, turned it into a major part of Turkey's tourism. Our Turkey hub lists other resorts along this shore.
Of the 20 properties here, 11 offer an in-apartment washing machine, 3 list a laptop-friendly workspace, 10 include some form of housekeeping and 9 have a 24-hour front desk. For longer stays, the facts box on each property page shows exactly what the apartments include.

Mostly not. The shore from Beldibi to Tekirova is a series of bays with mostly stony rather than sandy beaches, and Kemer's main beach is narrow and shingly. Moonlight Beach, east of the marina, is sand and shingle.
You can visit Göynük Canyon, the ruins of Phaselis, the Olympos cable car to Mount Tahtalı, or Yanartaş near Çıralı where small flames rise from the rock and are best seen at night. Boat trips go from the marina, including to the Three Islands for snorkelling.
