It is a good fit if being outdoors matters more than being near the market, but it is some way from the centre, so check how you will travel back.
Lien Khuong Airport is about 30 km south of the city, according to both Wikivoyage and Wikipedia, linked by a two-lane highway. Wikivoyage lists an airport shuttle bus that takes passengers to their hotels, as well as taxi transfers arranged through hotels.

The area around Xuan Huong Lake is the most convenient for first-time visitors, with the central market and the Flower Garden nearby. Tuyen Lam Lake, about 5 km south of town, is better for outdoor activities and quiet.
